A woman has tragically died after a serious crash between a van and a car on a major Ayrshire road. The 46-year-old female driver of the van was pronounced dead at the scene after the smash with an Audi TT at 5.55am this morning.The male driver of the Audi was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in GlasgowPictures from the scene earlier showed the aftermath of the horrific crash.The road has now reopened after being shut for almost 10 hours as emergency services assessed the scene.
I t is the second major crash on the same stretch of road this week.
