A person has died on the train tracks at a station in Bolton. Emergency crews responded to 'reports of a casualty on the tracks' at Farnworth railway station at around 3.45pm yesterday (July 8).
Tragically, the person was pronounced dead on the scene. A number of emergency vehicles were pictured outside the station as crews responded to the incident, with the entrance cordoned off.

Several Northern and TransPennine Express services were cancelled or delayed. A spokesperson for the British Transport Police said the person's death is not being treated as suspicious.
