A much-loved footballer tragically died alongside his dad in a horror crash in a canal in Lincolnshire. Cameron Walsh, 16, and his father David, 40, were travelling in a blue Mercedes 300 on Saturday afternoon before the car 'left the road and became submerged in water' in Tetney Lock, in Tetney, a small village around eight miles from Grimsby.
A huge emergency response was scrambled to the crash but both were tragically pronounced dead on the scene. Cameron played for the Grimsby Town youth team, with the club describing him as an 'undeniably talented' player, the Mirror reports.
