Tributes have been pouring in for a "trailblazer" tattoo artist who passed away suddenly while on holiday in Thailand. George Edward Scott, also known as Geordie Scott, was a renowned figure in the tattoo industry with 45 years of experience.
He was the founder of a tattoo and body art exhibition in the North East and even created his own brand of ink that is distributed throughout Europe.
Tragically, he died on September 30 at the age of 64, just one day before he was set to return from his trip visiting friends.
It is believed he suffered a heart attack. His daughter Lorraine paid homage to her father, saying: "He was a wonderful dad.
