Fans of iconic ITVBe reality show The Only Way Is Essex will be disappointed this festive season as it's been revealed that bosses have axed all plans for a Christmas special.

Unfortunately this isn't the first time this has happened as TOWIE's The Only Way Is Essexmas episode was also axed last year.

Confirmation of the scheduling shake-up was made by the show's cast member Ella Rae Wise during a recent Instagram Q&A she did with her 292,000 fans.The reality show was asked 'is there a TOWIE Xmas special this year?' which prompted Ella to announce the sad news that there wouldn't be.

Blonde beauty Ella replied to her fan, sharing: "Unfortunately not this year." She also hinted her sadness at the cancellation of the Christmas episode as she added a series of broken heart emojis to her Instagram Story response.
