'Top Gun: Maverick' Release Date Delayed, 'A Quiet Place II' Set for Labor Day!

Tom Cruise‘s Top Gun: Maverick is getting a brand new release date due to the ongoing global health crisis.

The anticipated sequel to the 57-year-old actor’s 1986 classic was scheduled to debut June 24 and will now release Dec. 23, 2020.

In addition, Paramount announced some other changes to their release date schedule including A Quiet Place Part II, which was originally expected to hit theaters on March 20 before getting pulled from the calendar as pandemic fears ramped up, will now open on Sept.

4th. Chris Pratt‘s sci-fi Skydance movie, The Tomorrow War, now has an unknown date and The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run has a new debut date on July 31, instead of Memorial Day weekend, May 22.
