Police are not looking for anyone else after arresting a suspect following a double killing in Manchester, a top officer has confirmed.
Emergency services were called out to Great Southern Street, in Moss Side, at 5am today (November 17). It followed reports that two men had been stabbed.
Tragically, they were both pronounced dead at the scene, despite the best efforts of first responders. A man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
In a press conference this afternoon, Chief Superintendent Dave Meeney told reporters that he understood the 'shockwaves' the incident had sent in Moss Side, but moved to reassure the community that the incident was 'isolated'.
