We're off to see the Wizard… for the 12th time. Brits are comfort-watching up to a dozen repeats of their favourite films to escape everyday life, a survey says.
The Wizard of Oz, Dirty Dancing and Die Hard topped the list of most rewatched movies, with two thirds of adults admitting that they like returning to golden oldies.
Fifteen of the top 20 most rewatched movies are seen more than 10 times between the ages of 18 and 60. They include the original three Star Wars films, Mary Poppins, The Sound of Music, The Breakfast Club, Back to the Future and Rocky.
Eight out of 10 Brits said old films offer a sense of comfort and more than a third said it made their worries vanish temporarily.
