Tony Watt has hit out at his treatment by Liam Fox – and told Dundee United no one can claim it’s his fault now they’re still struggling.The on-loan St Mirren striker claims he was unfairly sidelined during Fox’s six-month tenure.
After a red card against Motherwell in October, Watt started just once for United - scoring the winner at St Johnstone - before being packed off to Paisley.The switch is working out sweetly for the nomadic hitman as Saints travel to Hearts firmly in the hunt for a Euro spot.
Watt admits he doesn’t know what the future holds next season with so much up in the air. But, for now, he’s savouring work under Stephen Robinson after his Tannadice torment.
Watt said: “It’s been a breath of fresh air. I just want to be happy and I wasn’t happy at United under the last regime. The management didn’t want me there but, since I left, nothing has really changed.
