Dundee United are set to pull off a Christmas cracker with the signing of the Premiership’s top scorer Tony Watt on a three-year contract.
Sporting director Tony Asghar has managed to secure an ambitious deal that will see the striker swap Motherwell for Tannadice in the summer.
The 27-year-old had already knocked back a new contract at Fir Park and had already indicated that he would be moving on as a free agent.
Watt will remain at Motherwell for the rest of the season unless a deal can be struck that will see him move to Dundee United in the January window.
