St Johnstone manager Tommy Wright has warned that it "looks impossible" to finish the top flight season. An SPFL resolution brought the lower leagues to a premature end, allowing prize money to be paid out.
It also gave the governing body the power to do the same with the Premiership at a later date, though that will involve approval from UEFA.
Ending the season with the table as it stands would see Celtic crowned champions for the ninth season in a row and while Wright admits that's not the ideal solution he doesn't see any other way out of the shutdown.
