Sir Tom Jones revealed his wife Melinda Trenchard, known as "Lady Linda", made a heartfelt plea to the musician, after he broke the news to his other half.
It comes after the Sex Bomb crooner was dropped from The Voice four years ago, when the show aired on the BBC.The 80-year-old detailed his partner's shock after he informed her that he wasn't a part of the programme anymore, in a candid interview.The Delilah hitmaker was invited back to The Voice in 2017 after ITV brought the rights to broadcast the singing competition.Addressing his wife's "annoyance" over the situation, Tom explained that Linda was a big fan of the show.Speaking with ITV's Lorriane, Tom said: "Coming back on The Voice - my wife loved the show."I would take the DVDs.
