Guy Ritchie series, it is reported that Tom Hardy offered to step in and pay wages owed to its crew. The series, which has yet to be given an official title, has previously been referred to as The Associates.
It was first reported in October that Hardy signed on to star in the Paramount+ series alongside Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan. The drama series is set to follow two generations of gangsters, the businesses they run, the complex relationships they weave, and the man they call upon to fix their problems.Hardy is set for the role of a fixer by the name Harry while Mirren and Brosnan will star as the crime family’s matriarch and patriarch, respectively. In a report earlier this week (December 16), The Times referred to the series with another working title of Fixer.
The report stated that a company named Helix3D was contracted to build the sets required for the series’ production shoot. The company had hired freelance workers for the project – however, financial problems prevented the company from paying the workers.
Deadline reported last week (November 13) that Helix3D is expected to enter liquidation.A source close to the actor told The Times that Hardy offered to fulfil the wages owed to the freelancers. “He offered to [pay],” said the source. “But the production and Paramount have sorted the payment.”A source at Paramount also told The Times that it was “outraged” to learn about the situation.
