Tom Hanks and his son Chet have teamed up to recreate Forrest Gump for a new music video. Check it out below.The video accompanies the song ‘You Better Run’, which is the second single for Chet’s country duo Something Out West – comprised of him and Drew Arthur.Chet reprises his father’s role in the 1994 Oscar-winning film, recreating iconic moments, including the famous bench opening scene, the running sequence and Gump’s stint on a shrimping boat named ‘Jenny’, which the band perform on in the video.Towards the end of the video, Tom appears on the bench alongside his son, holding his head in his hands and looking confused before eventually seeming to come around to the concept.

Check it out below.Chet and Arthur formed Something Out West during their time as roommates in California, as they both began a journey towards sobriety.The friendship evolved into musical collaboration and songwriting sessions, leading to them signing with Nashville-based label Big Machine Records in February.They released their debut single ‘Leaving Hollywood’ the same month. “We’re thrilled to partner with Big Machine and Scott Borchetta,” Chet Hanks said in a press release at the time.“The support they’ve shown for ‘Leaving Hollywood’ and the rest of the music has been incredible.
