deadline.comEXCLUSIVE: Comedian Joe List is partnering with Matson Films to bring two new projects to theaters: the documentary Tom Dustin: Portrait of a Comedian, marking his feature debut, as well as his fourth special, Small Ball.
Tom Dustin: Portrait of a Comedian is set to hit theaters in Los Angeles and New York City on April 25, expanding nationwide on May 9.
Meanwhile, Small Ball will screen in theaters nationwide for one night only on May 21. The former project is an indie documentary, directed and produced by List, offering an intimate glimpse into his enduring friendship with fellow comedian, Tom Dustin.
Through candid conversations on anxiety, depression, and addiction, interwoven with intimate comedic performances filmed in Key West, the film sheds light on the highs and lows of life in stand-up comedy and the complexities of lifelong friendship.
