Tom Grennan has told fans that his upcoming album will have a “different” sound from all of his previous releases.It comes as the hitmaker recently dropped the single ‘Boy’s Don’t Cry’ – the third single from his forthcoming album ‘Everywhere I Went, Led Me to Where I Didn’t Want to Be’.It followed on from the lead single ‘Higher’ which was shared in January, and ‘Shadowboxing’ which came at the start of the year.Now, in a new interview with The Mirror, the singer has told fans more about the sound of the album as a whole, and explained that it is set to see him take a wholly new approach in comparison to his back catalogue.“Everything’s good, I’m really excited.

The new music is definitely a different sound, so I’m looking forward to seeing if people love it or not,” he told the outlet.“But in all honesty, I’m nearly 30 now and it’s taken me up until now.

I’m finally the artist that I wanted to be and I’m making the music that I really loved and I’ve taken inspiration from old records, new records and really dived into different sounds and different instruments,” he added. “I’ve loved every second of it.

Hopefully it goes well.”The new record marks his fourth album, following on from 2023’s ‘What Ifs And Maybes’, and is set for release on August 15.
