Philippe Clement insists the door remains open for Todd Cantwell to return to the Rangers fold should the wantaway midfielder perform a U-turn.
The midfielder slapped a transfer request on Clement’s desk several weeks ago, with the Belgian revealing Cantwell’s desire to get out following Rangers’ 2-1 friendly defeat to Birmingham last week.
The former Norwich City star will train with the club’s B team until a deal can be thrashed out with any interested parties.But the Ibrox boss hasn’t ruled out welcoming Cantwell back into the first-team group if he changes his mind and shows willing to reintegrate and a commitment to the club for the future.
However, Clement also made it clear than unless that happens, his focus will be on those who do want to stick around and fight for trophies.
