Joe Otterson TV Reporter Timothy Olyphant is the latest addition to the cast of the upcoming Apple TV+ limited series “Lucky.” Variety has learned that Olyphant has joined the series alongside previously announced lead Anya Taylor-Joy as well as recently announced cast member Annette Bening. “Lucky” is based on the novel of the same name by Marissa Stapley.

The book was a New York Times bestseller and a selection for Reese Witherspoon’s Reese’s Book Club. Per the official description, Taylor-Joy stars as “a young woman who left behind the life of crime she was raised in years ago, but must now embrace her darker, criminal side one final time in a desperate attempt to escape her past.” Olyphant will play John, Lucky’s father.

This marks the second Apple series in which Olyphant will appear. Variety exclusively reported that he will star in an upcoming golf comedy series at the streamer alongside Owen Wilson.

Olyphant recently reprised the role of US Marshall Raylan Givens in the FX series “Justified: City Primeval,” which served as a followup to “Justified,” on which Olyphant played Givens for six seasons.
