What was supposed to be Timothee Chalamet's debut on the iconic West End in London has been canceled.The 26-year-old thespian was set to be the lead star in play 4000 Miles at the historic The Old Vic but the legendary venue confirmed the cancellation on Thursday.The 1,000-seat theatre in Waterloo informed ticketholders while offering credit with the venue or full refunds.Scroll down for video Tough times:What was supposed to be Timothee Chalamet's (seen at The Oscars in March) debut on the iconic West End in London has been canceledA statement from The Old Vic was released which read 'Following its postponement due to the pandemic, and despite an enormous amount of effort from all involved, we have now sadly and reluctantly concluded that we are unable to reschedule the show at a time possible for everyone involved.'The show was originally slated for production two years ago but was cancelled due to the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The theatre's statement continued: 'It’s been a long journey to get to this point and despite two years of trying hard to make it work, it has proved impossible.
