Low-cost portable heaters sold by Temu and the TikTok shop have been pulled from sale after they failed a safety test conducted by Which?.The consumer watchdog recently bought and tested out eight portable heaters - some costing as little as £7.20 - and found six to be electrically unsafe.

found that some of these portable heaters, which have been promoted by millions of influencers, were at risk of an explosion threat.
Meanwhile, others could also cause electric shocks. As reported by WalesOnline, the watchdog found that an identical £16.98 portable space heater from Temu could similarly give users an electric shock, cause a fire or explode.
