Tiger Woods has come under fire for what he says was a joke between friends. The 47-year-old professional athlete was playing in the Genesis Invitational earlier this week, and during the ninth hole round, was seen handing what is believed to be a tampon to fellow golfer Justin Thomas, who was just beside him.

In the video captured, via Golf Digest, Justin looked down at what was in his hand, laughed and then tossed the package down.

The exchange had fans reacting in a multitude of ways, and also drew criticism for being offensive to women. Now, Tiger has issued an apology over the exchange.
