Tiger King's Joe Exotic asks 'homophobic' judge to drop out of his $88m civil rights case

Tiger King star Joe Exotic is claiming his civil rights have been violated in a new civil case - but he wants a new judge. The star of Netflix documentary Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness, is asking for almost $89 million in damages, but has stated in court documents that he wants the judge to recuse himself from the hearing.

Joe, 57, who is currently in prison for attempting to facilitate the murder of rival Carole Baskin and a string of animal cruelty charges, made bold claims that the judge who has presided over his previous hearings is homophobic.

He also claims that the judge is an animal advocate, and says that he therefore cannot have a fair trial under that judge. In legal documents filed on April 6 and obtained by Mirror
