Carole Baskin
Carole Baskin (born June 6, 1961) is an American animal rights activist and owner of Big Cat Rescue, a non-profit animal sanctuary based near Tampa, Florida. Baskin drew public attention when she was featured in the 2020 Netflix documentary series Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness about Oklahoma-based private zoo operator known as Joe Exotic. The Netflix series follows both Baskin and Joe Exotic, filming their ongoing and escalating feuds over exotic animals in private zoos. Following the series' release, Baskin has been targeted by Internet memes related to the disappearance of Don Lewis, her second husband.

Tiger King’s Carole Baskin has criticised Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion for using big cat imagery in their music video for WAP.The stars released their new hit, along with its elaborate music video, on Friday to much fanfare – but not everyone’s impressed.Some shots show Cardi lounging in a leopard print outfit, as leopards wander about in the room, while others see Megan donning a white tiger print outfit, with white tigers seemingly knocking about.Despite the cats being projected in via green screens, and not actually being in the room, Carole is not having any of it.She told TMZ that the video will glamorise people keeping tigers as pets, and will make ‘every ignorant follower want to imitate by doing the same’.The Big Cat Rescue boss.
