Tiffany Haddish Says Will Smith's Viral Oscars Slap Moment With Chris Rock Gives Her 'Hope' (Exclusive)

ET's Lauren Zima spoke with Haddish, 42, at the Oscars after-party, asking the comedian and actress her thoughts on Smith slapping Chris Rock live on air after Rock made a joke about Smith's wife and Haddish's co-star, Jada Pinkett Smith.
Rock said, «Jada, I love ya. G.I. Jane 2, can't wait to see it.» (Pinkett Smith has been open about her struggles with alopecia, an autoimmune disorder which causes bald spots and hair loss.) Moments later, Smith walked onto the stage and gave Rock an open-handed slap to his cheek.
Smith then walked offstage and cursed at Rock from his seat, yelling, «Leave my wife's name out of your f**king mouth.»Smith went on to win the Best Actor Oscar for his leading role in . «I would define tonight as a success,» Haddish tells ET. «First of all, I seen a man stand up for his wife, which we don't see that much anymore.
