A thunderstorm warning has been put in place for Greater Manchester today. With autumn well underway, it feels like the bright sun and hot temperatures from a couple of months ago are a distant memory.
Unfortunately, temperatures are likely to continue to get colder alongside increased wind speeds. However, this doesn't mean the rain will constantly batter the streets of Greater Manchester.
On Thursday, showers will be extremely prominent, lasting throughout most of the day while temperatures will consistently stay at 13C well into the evening.
Despite this, wind speeds will be moderate, peaking at 11mph in the late evening while staying at below 10mph in the morning and afternoon.
