Thugs batter man with plank of wood near Scots pub as assault victim rushed to hospital
dailyrecord.co.ukA man has been rushed to hospital after being battered by two thugs with a plank of wood near a Scots pub last night.Police have launched a probe after the 'vicious assault' happened at an address in Graham Street, Johnstone, at around 4.10pm on Friday.
A 34-year-old man was seriously injured after being attacked by two men armed with a plank of wood.The men made off from the scene in a small black car and drove in the direction of MacDowall Street.
The injured man immediately visited The Hagg Bar on Graham Street and sought help.Ambulance crews attended and the man was rushed to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley for treatment.
He had since been released but police are now appealing for information.The first suspect is described as white, approximately 6ft and of slim build.
