Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.

Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.

Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

Van flips on roof after crash on Scots road as driver rushed to hospital

A driver has been rushed to hospital after the van he was driving flipped on to its roof following a crash in Aberdeenshire.

The alarm was raised at around 9.30am on Saturday, November 26 when officers were called to a collision that had taken place between a car and a van on King Street in the town of Peterhead.

The male driver of the van was taken to hospital by ambulance to receive treatment. The extent of his injuries, as well as his current condition, is not yet known.Images taken by an eyewitness at the scene, which were shared online, show the now-abandoned vehicle lying completely upside down in the middle of the street and bits of metal and other debris strewn across the road.An ambulance is parked up nearby while a uniformed officer and a paramedic liaise with a small group who have gathered on the pavement.
