A thug who went to hospital for treatment and then threatened to 'stab people up' was found with a seven inch knife. Ainsley France, 24, abused staff at Fairfield hospital in Bury, and made 'racist' and 'sexual' comments.

Weeks earlier, he had waved a 10 inch knife towards two men after being asked to leave a pub. France, who has regularly smoked cannabis since the age of 14, said: "Shut up or I'll cut you up." Manchester's courts are some of the busiest in the country with a vast array of cases heard every week.
