A thug who threatened Hamilton shop staff with hypodermic needles and robbed them of food and drink has been jailed for three years.
Gary Gibson, 50, was sentenced at Hamilton Sheriff Court this week. He admitted assault and robbery, possession of bladed items and threatening police officers, all while on bail for other matters.The first incident happened at Scotmid in Neilsland Road on October 17.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

They agreed but told him to wait outside."After a short time Gibson re-entered the store, made threats and produced an uncapped needle from his pocket."He brandished this at an employee, warning 'Don't mess with me'.
