An attacker bit through a man's ear after he asked for him to move his six dogs. The 72-year-old victim was walking his dog by the River Mersey, on the border of Chorlton and Sale, when he saw a man ahead with six dogs.
As he neared a section of the river, opposite to the Jackson's Boat pub, he asked the man to cross to the other side as he was concerned for his nervous rescue dog.
But he said the man reacted violently and called him a 's***'. The man then reportedly came towards him and said 'You are not so big now are you'.
He then punched and kicked the victim, before biting into his ear. When blood started pouring from his victim's wound, the attacker fled from the scene.
