A thug dad threatened to "smack in" the heads of his former partner and their baby in a series of vile voicemails. Francis Casey, 30, told the mother of his 10-month-old daughter "I'm coming to your house to burn it down with the baby in it".

Casey blamed stalking her and sending abusive messages to her on a three-month booze and drug-fuelled bender, Liverpool Echo writes.However, a judge said that he was trying to "minimise" what he had done to his victim, who was left "petrified".Liverpool Crown Court heard how Casey and the woman, who has not been named, broke up in November 2021.

Christopher Hopkins, prosecuting, said she described how the last few months of their relationship "became physically abusive".He said: "She refers to the defendant having grabbed her face in an argument to stop her from speaking."The court heard from November onwards, Casey repeatedly turned up at her home in Aigburth, banged on her front door, demanded to be let in and shouted "slag" and "c***" through her letterbox.She felt scared and harassed, and feared for her two children's safety, the youngest of whom was Casey's daughter.

However, when she called the police, he would leave before officers arrived. Mr Hopkins said Casey also repeatedly turned up at a Liverpool city centre pub where she worked, when she would speak to him outside because she was embarrassed, but he insulted her and demanded money.The prosecutor said Casey left two voicemails on her phone on December 31, one on January 1, four on January 4 and one on January 12, but in some was "incoherent" and in all "sounds drunk".In one message on January 4, he said "you dirty, vile, ugly, f***ing slag of a bird" and "I'm going to kill you when I get out of jail".Casey warned:
