A violent robber launched a brutal attack on a 'vulnerable' 54-year-old man in his own home - leaving him with a snapped bone in his leg.
Robert McDonagh, 33, burst into the victim's home in Cheetham Hill at around 9am on April 21 last year. The victim was with a friend and his carer at the time, police said.
McDonagh, who was 'known to the victim', pushed through the door after knocking. The victim tried to run up the stairs away from him. Join our WhatsApp Top Stories and Breaking News group by clicking this link. But he grabbed him with both hands and pulled him back down the stairs, police added.
McDonagh pushed him to the floor before brutally stamping on him and kicking him. He grabbed £100 out of his pockets before he and another male fled the scene.
