A row between former pals erupted into brutal violence with a man struck twice by a machete after falling out over a dog being fed gravy with onions.Ben Baskcomb was left raging after his pet German Shepherd was fed the food by his friend at his pal's home in the East Marsh area of Grimsby earlier this year.The 22-year-old wanted revenge and hit his friend's dad on the head with a machete during a frenzied attack.
Following the attack he also daubed graffiti outside their home. He threatened that the two former friends would "die".Baskcomb was arrested at his home shortly after the attack.
Cops called there and were greeted by him holding a blood-stained machete and with traces of spray paint on him, Grimsby Live reports.
At Grimsby Crown Court, he admitted possession of a machete in a public place and spraying paint on private property. Baskcomb denied a charge of unlawful wounding committed on April 11 and a separate charge of wounding with intent Section 18 offence on April 22.He claimed it was self-defence.
