Three people have been rushed to hospital following a horror crash involving a lorry and car on the M90. A 999 response remains at the scene of the incident near Friarton Bridge in Craigend, Perth, after receiving the alarm at 12pm.

Cops locked down a section of the motorway following the smash.Three hours later, a stretch of road towards Broxden remains closed.As a precaution, three people from the car have been rushed to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.

Details on their injuries are unknown.The lorry driver was not hurt in the collision. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "At 12pm on Sunday, June 26, police were called to a two vehicle road crash involving a car and a lorry on the M90 southbound, south of Friarton Bridge, J10, Craigend. "Officers remain at the scene and the slip road from M90 southbound towards Broxden is closed. "Three people from the car have been taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee as a precaution at this time.
