Three flood warnings now issued in Greater Manchester as people told to 'take action'

Three flood warnings are now in force across Greater Manchester, as the region continues to be battered by relentless rainfall.

All three are in place from 2pm on Monday afternoon and involve the River Irk. 'Areas at risk' have been referenced by the Environment Agency - including homes and businesses on specific streets.

The river runs through Cheetham Hill at Dantzic Street and up to Collyhurst Road. The alert references a risk to properties next to the River Irk from Cheetham Hill Junction to Victoria Station, including Collyhurst Road, Roger Street and Scotland Bridge.
