Storm Babet continues to batter the UK with strong winds and heavy rain today, with three dead and severe 'danger to life' warnings still in place.

A rare red weather warning has been issued for parts of eastern Scotland all day as forecasters warn of a 'difficult day ahead' in the region.

Over 350 flood warnings remained in place across England on Saturday morning (October 21). A yellow warning for wind remains in place until 12pm across the north east of England and eastern Scotland.

In Greater Manchester, five flood warnings remain in place across parts of Manchester, Stockport, and Tameside.
