Threave Rovers returned to action with a “home” win over Easterhouse on Saturday. The game was moved to Raydale Park in Gretna due to Meadow Park being waterlogged, but the change of scene didn’t disrupt Threave too much as they ran out 3-0 winners.

Boss Vinnie Parker said: “We had to switch at the very last minute, which was a shame for the club after all the work they’d put in on the pitch. “We’ve got some really good, technical players and it probably suits them playing on the 4G surface.” Lewis Todd headed Threave in front from a Connor Potts corner in the first half and they doubled their lead just after the break when Tam Coles scored at the second attempt.

And they wrapped things up when Coles picked out Potts to slam home. Parker said: “I felt we started the game really sharp, we kept possession well, were really good in the turn over and defended well. “They were a decent team and I was impressed with them.

Easterhouse are exactly what it says on the tin. They were street wise, up for it, physical, played at high tempo and were very well drilled. “We kept possession well and were really patient.
