There are more than 2000 people in work across North Lanarkshire than during the same time period last year.The total ONS claimant count, which applies to residents in the searching for work category, for the area was 7420 as of December 22.This is 2160 less than the claims made 12 months earlier.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

Lynne Faulds, Jobseekers' employer and partnership manager for North Lanarkshire, told Lanarkshire Live: "Our work coaches are here to support people taking the first steps on their journey back to work.
