Thousands give views on Cumbernauld listed building application

More than 2000 people have given their views in a public consultation over a request to give listed building status to Cumbernauld town centre.The call was in response to proposals to demolish the controversial eight-storey megastructure.Responses ranged from some calling it a “famous landmark” with “fantastic potential,” to contributions describing it it “no longer fit for purpose” and “an eyesore" and "a carbuncle”.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
