Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel insists it is "too soon" to make a decision on Olivier Giroud's future despite the striker having only a matter of months remaining on his deal.
Giroud, 34, opened the scoring in the Blues' 2-0 win over Newcastle on Monday to take his tally for the season to 10 goals in 21 appearances.
The French veteran played a bit-part role in the first half of the season under Frank Lampard and has continued to do so under his successor in the Stamford Bridge hot seat.
