This week, I tried something completely new. When you're comfortable, it's easy to get stuck in a routine. You go out with the same friends to the same pubs, bars, and restaurants and do the same things.
There's nothing wrong with knowing what you like, but it can feel like living your life on autopilot. Safe, but not entirely stimulating.
So in an effort to broaden our horizons, a couple of friends and I went to our first ever live comedy night. The event was a female and non-binary stand-up show, and honestly, I had a blast.
Watching these performers of all different ages be able to explore their passion in such a safe and welcoming space was a reminder of both the kindness and the creativity Manchester is known for.
