Alison Hammond and Josie Gibson have been hit with complaints over a question they asked Sir Chris Whitty during his appearance on This Morning.
The former chief medical officer appeared on the ITV daytime show on Thursday (October 5) to discuss the pledge announced by Rishi Sunak that would see the legal age for smoking rise by one year every year.
The Prime Minister has described his plan to increase the legal smoking age annually as the "biggest public health intervention in a generation".
Under the plan announced in his Conservative Party conference speech, the proposed legislation for England will make it an offence for anyone born on or after January 1, 2009 to be sold tobacco products.
