He is currently the co-presenter of This Morning (2002–present) and Dancing on Ice (2006–2014, 2018–present) alongside Holly Willoughby. His other work for ITV includes All Star Mr & Mrs (2008–2016), The Cube (2009–2015), and 5 Gold Rings (2017–present). Schofield gained national attention working for the BBC, first as a continuity presenter for Children's BBC on weekdays from 1985 to 1987, then as a presenter on the children's Saturday morning magazine show Going Live! between September 1987 and April 1993.

This Morning viewers were dumbfounded as two guests appeared on the programme to explain their connection with fairies.The two guests appeared mystifying wearing princess-like attire, waved hair and flamboyant floral headwear.Speaking to Phillip Schofield, 59, and Holly Willoughby, 40, they detailed a number of encounters.Host Phil, even explained his own encounter which he believed could have been with fairies from when he was a child.He said: "When I was a child, I went out walking with my parents and they had seen a load of rabbits and I hadn't."I saw a ring of mushrooms - known as fairy rings and I stood inside it and said I wanted to see a rabbit."And I kid you not at that very second a rabbit appeared."Viewers of the daytime favourite.
