This Morning fans were left unimpressed a mere few minutes into the latest episode as they were informed that Craig Doyle had a 'new role' on the show.

The presenter has recently been seen fronting the ITV daytime show with Holly Willoughby following her return from her summer break.

He's always a firm hit with viewers of the programme ever since he first made his hosting debut last year. While it wasn't actually the TV and radio presenter's first-ever appearance on the programme having already presented competition segments for the show, May 2022 was the first time he hosted the main programme alongside Alison Hammond. But on Wednesday's show, as Holly was joined at the helm by Josie Gibson, viewers were surprised to discover Craig was back on the show, but not live in the studio. "This Morning isn't just confined to our studio today as part of the show has gone on the road," Holly started by saying.
