This Morning chef Clodagh McKenna has been praised for her moving tribute to former colleague Phillip Schofield after the 61 year old announced his departure from the show over the weekend.

Phillip announced on Saturday, 20 May, that he was leaving the show “with immediate effect” after a difficult few days on air amid reports he was feuding with co-star Holly Willoughby.

He also thanked people for their support – with Clodagh being one of his few colleagues to give him what This Morning fans have labelled as a “proper send off”.

Sharing a snap of them on the programme together, Clodagh penned to Instagram: “21 years of brightening up our mornings…. And I’ve been so lucky to be part of 3 of them.
