One of the world’s oldest whisky distilleries is reaching deep into its archives for a special release created in honor of Queen Elizabeth II.
The Glen Grant Devotion is an ultra-rare 70-year-old single malt whisky that’s going up for auction this week at Sotheby’s. Created by Glen Grant Master Distiller Dennis Malcolm, the scotch whisky is the oldest-ever release from the distillery in its 180 years of existence.
Sourced from a single French oak butt seasoned with oloroso sherry, and filled in 1953 at The Glen Grant distillery in Scotland, ‘Devotion’ achieves a rich and elegant chestnut hue with beautiful clarity thanks to the aging process.
