The girl suffered 'horrendous' injuries and could have been killed after she was mauled by the pocket bully type dogs outside her home, as she played with friends.
The owner of the animals, 36-year-old Bernard Valentine, has been jailed after a court heard he kept the six dogs in 'woefully inadequate' conditions.
Minshull Street Crown Court was told that his dogs had attacked a man and his Dalmatian months earlier. Police were unable to seize the animals following the incident because Valentine left the area with them.
