Any dog owner will know, especially those with energetic breeds like my springer spaniel, that taking them on walks can get messy, particularly during winter.
But to ensure they get their proper exercise and have a fun run-around, dog owners often have to walk in muddy and wet areas with unstable terrain.
I deal with this daily. Living in a fairly rural part of Cornwall, I'm surrounded by beaches, coastal paths, nature trails, and woodlands where my dog (Monty) loves running, getting dirty, and chasing leaves.
Although I am always happy to take my dog to his favourite places so he can have fun exercising, this regularly means I come home with damp and cold feet, with my Nike shoes lagged in mud, clay, and other nasty things you might find on the woodland floor.
