Coronavirus infection rates in Greater Manchester are continuing to fall, with cases in Oldham dropping by over 100 in the space of a week.A day after the Government announced tighter restrictions for the borough, the rate fell from 71.7 to 63.7.In the week ending August 19, there were 820 cases of Covid-19 across Greater Manchester, the lowest seven-day total since August 2.The infection rate across nine out of the ten boroughs is continuing to fall, with only a minor increase in cases in Wigan.Across Greater Manchester there were 113 new cases confirmed today.
The infection rates are calculated up to three days ago - Wednesday August 19 - because of the delay in reporting cases.In the week ending August 19, there were 820 cases reported.
