Theatre group turns back time with Whisky Galore musical production in Lanarkshire

A theatre group will be going back to their roots when they put on a dram fine production in Lanarkshire.Windmill Productions will be performing Whisky Galore - A Musical.It was their first production in 2014 and since then they have performed five others but are now returning with the story set in remote Hebridean islands in 1943..The actors come from across a variety of areas in central Scotland including Glasgow, Stirling, Lanarkshire, and Renfrewshire.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

Our director and prompt both suffered strokes in the same week. They are both recovering, but both wanted the show to go on so we have a new director and are dedicated to making the show a success for both of them”.A number of those within their ranks all hail from around Lanarkshire including director Joanne Tulips.

Several are from around the Wishaw area - musical director David Fisher, Jonathan Procter playing Joseph Macroon, Jennifer McGowan playing Peggy Macroon, John McKenzie playing Captain Waggett and Cat Gemmell playing Grizelda McRurie and Mrs Odd.
